Burma 2014 – The Road to Mandalay – 19 January to 8 February

Road to Mandalay option_1

Join the first classic car rally to be welcomed in the extraordinary country of Burma.

By the old Moulmein Pagoda, lookin’ eastward to the sea,
There’s a Burma girl a-settin’, and I know she thinks o’ me;
For the wind is in the palm-trees, and the temple-bells they say:
“Come you back, you British soldier; come you back to Mandalay!”

So go the first four lines of one of Rudyard Kipling’s most famous poems. Recording the wistful memories of an old soldier, the poem aptly mirrors the feelings of the world today as we are now able to reacquaint ourselves with this beautiful country.

The Road to Mandalay is a three week pioneering adventure offering you the chance to drive the roads of this mysterious country, meet the people and see the amazing sights that have been hidden from the world for so long. Join the first classic car rally to be welcomed by the people and authorities of Myanmar. With the permission to bring your classic car into the country
finally secured, you now have the opportunity to enjoy driving the ever improving road network and immerse yourself in the rich culture of this fascinating country in the way no others can.
